Heat Lamps

There’s nothing worse than getting hot food sent back to the kitchen because it isn’t warm enough. Not only does this leave a negative impression in the mind of your customer, it also wastes time and effort by your table and kitchen staff as well. Serving your deliciously prepared plates of food at the right temperature is crucial to the success of your business and will ensure that your ratings are high and that customers come back again and again. Also known as a heat light or heat bulb, a heat lamp is an understated piece of commercial kitchen equipment that deserves far more recognition. With one of these on your side, you can keep your dishes tasty and warm as all of the elements are prepared and when they are waiting to be picked up by your servers. They can be installed in kitchen work areas, above the kitchen pass, in food pickup stations and at customer serving points - anywhere that you want to pop down your plates.

Heat Lamps - Different Types

Whilst there are often many different types on the market, the key differentiator of a heat lamp is the number of globes and the design. For busier venues where there is often a greater amount of peak serving traffic, we recommend a model with 3 or even 4 globes thereby giving you a greater area of coverage. For smaller operations where there is less demands on the chef and meals tend to be spread out over a longer time period, a unit with 2 globes should be suitable.

Heat Lamps - Key Benefits

Convenient and practical, heat lights are fast to switch on and get to work quickly. Unlike a normal light, a heat lamp is specifically designed to provide heat through their globes when activated. With this burst of heat, these heat lamps maintain food temperatures without further cooking the food or drying it out, meaning that your meals stay piping hot to satisfy your customers. A good quality heat bulb will warm up in no time and are usually compact enough to take up minimal space above the pass.
